Cathy Wood, Senior Director
Cathy has a demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion over her 24 years at LHSC. She has served as a founding member on several LHSC working groups (Accessibility Working Group, Patient Experience Coordinating Committee and the Health Equity Advisory Group) to assist with developing frameworks, terms of reference and work plans. Cathy’s previous role as Senior Director within the Office of Capacity Management allowed her to gain valuable insight into the local, regional, and provincial health systems through the COVID-19 pandemic, which highlighted the health inequities among certain communities.
Cathy’s education and experience support her commitment to leadership and leading system transformation through continuous quality improvement, safety and service excellence. In addition to coaching and mentoring new and aspiring leaders, Cathy excels at fostering inclusive relationships grounded in mutual respect, empathy and collaboration within LHSC and broadly with our health and social service system partners.
