Psychiatric Stipend Funding Program audit
“The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care has completed its retrospective audit, which reviewed the use of psychiatric stipend funds across several hospitals in the 2005 – 2009 fiscal years.
We have reviewed the audit and are working with the Ministry to fulfill the recommendations of the report. We acknowledge that there were some areas where LHSC had not been in compliance in the past because of our interpretation of the requirements of the funding letter.
LHSC greatly values the stipend funds and will continue to work openly and collaboratively with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care to ensure that stipend funds are effectively allocated in accordance with program guidelines going forward.”
