LONDON, Ont. – London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) is pleased to support the release of a new book entitled So Long South Street – A Photographic History of Victoria Hospital by Ryan Craven with photos by Matthew Trueman. The book tells the story of LHSC’s South Street Hospital site, from its origins in the late 1830's to the demolition of the majority of its buildings in 2015. Historical text and images are joined by photos of the demolition.
This book offers the opportunity for Londoners to reminisce and pay tribute to the legacy of care that has been built at LHSC – a legacy that began at the former South Street Hospital.
Media and the general public are invited to attend a book launch and signing with the book’s author and photographer.
