How to install WebEx before your appointment

Install Cisco Webex Meetings (Webex) on your smartphone at least one day before your virtual care appointment (at London Health Sciences Centre or St. Joseph's Health Care London). Follow these steps to install Webex well before your scheduled virtual care appointment. Android phone instructions are found after the iPhone instructions.

For iPhones

1. On your iPhone, tap the App Store icon.
   
2. Search for Cisco Webex Meetings.
3. When you have found the Webex app, tap the blue cloud download icon and follow the instructions.
   
4. When installation is done tap OPEN.
   A terms and conditions screen is displayed.
5. Once you have read the terms and conditions, tap I Accept to all prompts.
6. Close Cisco Webex Meetings.

Test your installation

1. To test if your iPhone can join a virtual care appointment, go to https://www.webex.com/test-meeting.html
2. Enter a name, email address and tap Join.
   You can enter a fake name and email address if you do not wish to use your actual name and email address.
3. At the bottom of the Join Meeting Test screen tap these three buttons in order:
   1- Turn ON your audio so you can talk to your provider; the audio button is no longer red.
   2 -Turn ON your camera so your provider can see you; the video button is no longer red.
   3 -JOIN to begin the virtual care appointment.
   
4. Once you’ve successfully joined the test appointment, you can exit.
5. Go to your virtual care appointment e-mail invitation five minutes before your appointment begins with your provider.

Prepare for a successful virtual care appointment

To ensure the best possible environment for your virtual care appointment, make sure you have:

• Fully charged smartphone or access to power
• Internet connection
• Well-lit space so the provider can see you
• Quiet space to reduce distractions
• Headphones that connect to your smartphone for clear audio and to protect your privacy

For Android phones

1. On your Android phone, tap the Play Store icon. 
   
2. Search for Cisco Webex Meetings
3. When you have found the Webex app, tap Install and follow the instructions.
   
4. When installation is done tap Open.
   Terms and conditions as well as other access prompts are displayed.
5. Tap ACCEPT, OK or ALLOW to all prompts.
6. Close Cisco Webex Meetings.

Test your installation
