How to cast a special ballot vote at LHSC
At LHSC this special ballot vote will occur on April 20 and April 21 between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on April 22. Eligible voters will register with a Hospital Special Ballot Coordinator over the telephone and a visit will be scheduled so they may vote. The contact number for the Hospital Special Ballot Coordinator will be distributed to each patient room on Saturday, April 19 and to new patients admitted between April 20 and 22.
Please note: There will be no polling booths or voting by proxy arrangements available at LHSC on Election Day (April 28). For patients and family members of paediatric patients who know they’ll be staying in hospital on Monday, April 28, Elections Canada recommends planning ahead and finding other ways to vote.
