Sonographers at London Health Sciences Centre provide critical diagnostic care to patients, including during pregnancy. This year, LHSC’s Medical Imaging department is hosting the inaugural Ultrasound Symposium on Tuesday, October 1, in advance of Sonographer’s Week (October 7-11).

This full-day event will feature presentations by both physicians and medical sonographers. The presentations will delve into various topics on improving ultrasound imaging and care for patients through research and new techniques.

Supported by GE Healthcare, the symposium will also offer live demonstrations of the Voluson™ Expert 22 ultrasound machines which are powered by advanced AI technology, unveiled last year.

“As a Maternal Fetal Medicine Centre of Excellence, we are very excited to engage our colleagues and learners on the newest trends in sonography,” says Natasha Quin, sonographer and one of the organizers of the symposium.

This symposium is open to practitioners and learners. For more information and to register, visit the LHSC Ultrasound symposium web page. Sonographers and sonography students will be able to earn six CME credits.

Registration closes September 20.
