In July 2020, Tom McHugh was appointed Regional Vice President for the South West Regional Cancer Program and the Vice President Clinical Programs, London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC). In these roles, Tom provides executive oversight to a variety of clinical programs at LHSC including cancer, renal, mental health and addictions and clinical neurosciences. Additionally, he serves as the Regional Vice President overseeing cancer services in the South West Region.
Tom is well known to Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario) having served for seven years as the Regional Vice President for the Central East Regional Cancer Program and Executive Vice President – Patient Services at Lakeridge Health. He brings a wealth of health care executive management experience both at the CEO and senior management level.
Tom is a registered occupational therapist and has a masters degree in public administration with a focus on health policy. Over the last year, Tom has provided executive oversight to a variety of clinical programs at LHSC and has served as a key regional lead in the coordinated regional pandemic response in Ontario Health West – South West Region.
