Our Program

Our Transport Team includes highly skilled and knowledgeable nurses and respiratory therapists who have received comprehensive, advanced training in neonatal and paediatric transport. Their primary goal is to provide safe transport of critically ill infants and children. The team transports approximately 300 critically ill infants and children annually.

Transport team members work regular shifts in the Paediatric Critical Care Unit (PCCU) and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) during and after their training to keep their skills honed, but they are always ready to leave for a patient transport at a moment’s notice.
