Radiation Oncologist, Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre

Associate Professor, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, University of Western Ontario

He completed medical school at The Bangalore University in 1971, followed by otolaryngology training in United Kingdom and then training in radiation oncology at The University of Western Ontario, London.

He acquired post fellowship Head and Neck Brachytherapy Training in Nancy, France.

He has a strong interest in education and has received the Division of Radiation Oncology Awards for Excellence in Teaching in 1995 and 2008.

He is a member of The Head and Neck and Genitourinary Disease Site groups and has been the Principal Investigator for numerous head and neck and genitourinary clinical trials.

His current research interests are in Head and Oncology primarily assessing the outcome of therapeutic intervention in laryngeal and oropharyngeal cancers.

In collaboration with the Chief of Urology, Dr. Chin, he established The Prostate Brachytherapy Program at The Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre more than a decade ago.

He has numerous research grants and more than fifty publications in Peer Reviewed Journals.

Personal areas of interests include reading, travelling with family and golfing.
