Welcome to Medical Imaging at London Health Science Centre (LHSC). The Medical Imaging department is made up of 6 different modalities or areas in health care. They each take images of the body by using a different technique. The images are used for clinical diagnosis, treatment or disease monitoring. Your requesting Doctor knows what the issues or concerns are and will determine which imaging technique may be most appropriate. These modalities are:
- Computed Tomography, commonly known as CT scan
- Interventional Radiology, also known as Angiography or IR
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging, commonly known as MRI
- Molecular Imaging and Theranostics (formerly Nuclear Medicine)
- Ultrasound
- X-ray, also known as Radiology
We offer all of these services at each of our two campuses, University and Victoria Hospital. Please pay careful attention to the details given with your scheduled booking to ensure you arrive at the correct campus. You can find more information provided in the modality tabs.
