Additional Training and Interests:
Dr. Sugimoto has an interest in improving patient care processes. He lead the design of a comprehensive care pathway for ovarian cancer patients and participates in the Communities of Practice Initiative with Cancer Care Ontario.
He is interested in the use of medical teleconferencing, laparoscopic cancer surgery, surgical training, and surgical principles in gynecologic oncology.
Dr. Sugimoto is teaches medical students and specialists in training. He is the director of the Fellowship Training Program in Gynecologic Oncology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Western Ontario.
