lansoprazole
Indication
- Proton pump inhibitor used in the treatment of reflux esophagitis
Dosage Guidelines
- 0.5-1.5 mg/kg/dose ORAL once daily
Administration
- ORAL
- Administer prior to feeds
Adverse Effects
- Abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea
- Elevations in AST, ALT, ALP (rare)
Comments
- May decrease absorption of iron salts
- Maximum effect: 1 to 4 weeks
