Our program provides assessment, treatment and consultation for children and adolescents who are experiencing pain. Our focus is to improve pain that is interfering with day-to-day functioning in areas like school, physical activities, and social functioning of the child or youth and their families.
Pain is known to involve many factors that interact, including biological factors, psychological factors and social factors. Consequently, treating pain requires different approaches working together: physical, psychological and pharmacological (medications). For these reasons, our team is interdisciplinary, meaning that we bring our various specialties together with you and your family to assess and determine the best plan for addressing pain.
