Black Health Navigator
Black Health Navigators are trained and registered Health care workers available to patients of LHSC who would like additional support navigating the complexities of the health care system. Patients and families can access this service through Black Health.
Navigator are able to help patients and families by:
- Fostering open and effective communication channels.
- Facilitating communication with the goal of having their needs and concerns heard, understood, and addressed appropriately by all members of the health-care team.
- Providing guidance and support to ensure that individuals have access to accurate information about their health care options and rights.
Provide feedback
The Black Health team is always looking to engage with patients, staff and members of the Black community to hear about how their experiences have shaped their healthcare journey and listen to their ideas for improvements on how we deliver care.
