The flags at our organization will be lowered to half-mast today to honour the tragic loss of Capt. Jennifer Casey, a Canadian Forces Snowbirds member who was killed in a plane crash on Sunday.
The CF Snowbirds were on a cross-country tour as part of Operation Inspiration, aimed at lifting the spirits of Canadians amid the COVID-19 pandemic, when the crash happened. Our community was fortunate to have been able to view this unique mission on May 10 when the team’s signature nine-jet formation, with trailing white smoke, flew over London.
Our organization wishes to send our deepest condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of Capt. Casey. We are keeping all of those who have been affected by this tragedy in our thoughts.
