Why do I have to see the entire Motor Neuron Disease (MND) Team at every visit?
We have very skilled professionals with expertise in MND care. They often recognize issues early that you may not have attributed to the disease. They can alert you to hazards, offer advice, and recommend equipment that would be helpful in your daily care, communication, and mobility. Our team makes appropriate referrals in your community for your in-home support and care. We are fortunate to have the Team available on clinic day to avoid your return for multiple appointments and dates. Our team meets the following day to review changes in your health and to collaborate our care and follow-up. We also recognize that some health issues and distance make this long day difficult for persons in frail health. Please let us know of your concerns and discomforts. We do try to accommodate our patients for their best interest.
