The Renal Dietetic Assistants at the London Health Sciences Centre are professionally trained in nutrition. They work with the Renal Dietitians and the whole renal care team to provide quality nutrition care.
Renal Dietetic Assistants works in the:
- Hemodialysis Units
- Home Hemodialysis Units
- Peritoneal Dialysis Units
The role of the Renal Dietetic Assistant includes:
- Analyzing nutrition data from food intake records and recipes
- Assisting in patient nutrition assessment
- Calculating urea kinetic modeling results
The Renal Dietetic Assistant will meet with you or call you on the phone to ask you details about what you eat so they can analyze your food intake records.
