Racing Against Drugs is a school-based program for grade five students. The aim of the program is to increase

health and safety knowledge on drugs and alcohol.
The program topics continue to evolve to address the current needs, often including; alcohol, tobacco, vaping, gambling, bullying (including internet safety), and fire safety. LHSC’s station specifically focuses on how drugs and alcohol effect brain development and function.
Community partners often included are; OPP, Local Police, Fire, EMS, Health Unit, Addiction Services, CAMH, Detention Centre, and LHSC Trauma Program.
London generally holds a five-day program annually where schools that register will participate in this half-day field trip. For schools outside of London it may be a virtual program.
For more information on the program or to look at registering, please contact your child’s teacher or your School Board’s Program Services Coordinator.
