LHSC update on transfer of patient Joseph Maraachli

London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) has been advised by the Children’s Hospital of Michigan that there will be no request to transfer Baby Joseph. Due to patient privacy, we cannot provide any specific details as it relates to patient information.

On Monday, February 21, 2011, with the consent of the Maraachli family, LHSC provided Baby Joseph’s full medical record to the family’s requested medical centre, the Children’s Hospital of Michigan.

Our focus at this time is supporting the family by providing compassionate and dignified care, and comfort to both the patient and his parents.
