Official opening of the Adult Mental Health Care program at Victoria Hospital

(LONDON, Ontario) – Media are invited to attend an opening celebration of the Adult Mental Health Care program move to Victoria Hospital.

This move includes all acute care mental health care services for both inpatient care and ambulatory (outpatient) care from South Street Hospital. All acute mental health care services will now be delivered in two separate state-of-the-art spaces at Victoria Hospital. This move is significant as it represents the last inpatient unit to leave the site, in preparation for the closing of South Street Hospital.

Dr. Sandra Fisman, Chief of Psychiatry, LHSC, and Dr. Beth Mitchell, Director, Mental Health Care Program, LHSC, will be on hand to discuss how this new space will positively impact patient care.
