London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) is taking further precautions and measures to limit the COVID-19 outbreaks at University Hospital to keep staff, physicians, patients and our community safe.
As of December 1, ambulatory or outpatient activity at University Hospital will be reduced to only urgent and emergent appointments, procedures, and diagnostic services. When possible, all other clinic appointments will be rescheduled as virtual appointments.
Urgent and emergent appointments or procedures are those services that are required within seven days as determined by the health-care provider.
We recognize that the changes in our service delivery cause uncertainty for our patients and their loved ones. Any patient whose appointment or procedure is impacted by these further reductions, will receive direct communication from their care team.
