The cooling system at London Health Sciences Centre’s University Hospital has now been repaired. The system is working and indoor temperatures at University Hospital have returned to normal.
We are beginning to increase surgical volumes today. All non-urgent and non-emergent clinical appointments and procedures are expected to resume beginning Monday, August 16. Our visitor policy for University Hospital will expand in alignment with current pandemic measures.
Any patient with an appointment postponed this past week will be contacted by their care team to reschedule. Patients with changes to their health condition or symptoms are encouraged to contact their care team or primary care provider. Patients experiencing severe symptoms should call 911 or go to their nearest emergency department.
We understand that having an appointment postponed this past week may be frustrating for patients and families. We thank our community for their support, patience and understanding.
