London Health Sciences Centre is currently experiencing an issue with the cooling system at University Hospital. One of three chillers is down, affecting the system’s operation.
We are working diligently to resolve the issue but expect it could take a minimum of 72 hours. Given high temperatures outside, we are taking necessary actions to ensure patient comfort. This includes postponing some non-urgent appointments and procedures beginning tomorrow. Patients will hear directly from their care team if their appointment is being postponed.
We ask that the community consider limiting their visits to University Hospital to urgent visits only until the issue is resolved. Our Emergency Department remains open and safe, and it is important that patients do not delay seeking care for any urgent or emergent needs.
