Engraftment is the time between your transplant and blood count recovery. During this time you will have several side effects. These side effects are a result of the chemotherapy you received.
You may feel some side effects from the high dose chemotherapy while you are waiting for your bone marrow to recover. The side effects may be stronger than what you may have felt before with previous chemotherapy treatment. Some days, you may feel very uncomfortable and want to stay in bed.
