A Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is an experienced critical care nurse with advanced education. The CNS works with other health professionals to develop and promote best practice guidelines based on the most current research evidence, provide consultation and education regarding nursing care and family support, assist with the development of care plans for complex patients and support/participate in clinical research activities.
