BEDS Critically ill and immobilized patients are at risk for many complications including pressure sores and pneumonia. There are a variety of different types of specialty beds available that can reduce skin pressure. We also have beds that continually rotate from side-to-side that may help patients with lung secretions. All patients are routinely assessed to determine the best type of bed for their needs. We will sometimes switch a patient to a different type of bed if the bed is better suited to the patients needs. |
