Cerebral is a term that is used to describe the brain and nervous system. The Central Nervous System (CNS) includes the brain and spinal cord. The Peripheral Nervous System (PNS) includes the nerves that communicate between the spinal cord and the body.

Neurology is the study of the brain and nervous system. A neuron is a nerve. A Neurologist is a specialist who cares for patients with brain and nerve disorders. A neurosurgeon is a specialist who performs surgery on the brain and/or nervous system.
